In a world of social media recommendations, how do you know that the Gas Engineer you have chosen is competent?

Choosing a Gas Engineer is an important decision. To be a qualified engineer you MUST have a specific set of qualifications and be registered with the Gas Safe Register. This means that you are assessed as competent to work in the industry and most importantly - have passed that assessment to work on Gas Appliances.

Therefore, before welcoming an engineer into your home it is crucial you check that they are on the Gas Safe Register and therefore qualified to work on your appliances. Without doing so, you could be leaving yourself at risk.

Whilst reviews and recommendations from friends and family are a great place to start, don’t take chances, always check the official Gas Safe Register.
